Edinburgh Park station is located in the west of the city and just a short walk to the West Edinburgh Business Park and Hermiston Gait Retail Park which is immediately outside the station entrance. For commuters into Edinburgh Park, there is a free shuttle service operating at peak times from this station and South Gyle typically operating between 7.20 am and 9.30 am and then in the afternoon from 4 pm to 6.15 pm.
Opened in 2003 Edinburgh Park station sits on the Glasgow to Edinburgh line (via Falkirk) and managed by Scotrail. As a result, Edinburgh Park Station is well connected to the city centre with 6 trains per hour to Edinburgh Waverley taking an average of just 10 minutes. There are further frequent services to both Stirling and Glasgow Queen Street also departing from this station.
Edinburgh Park station has two self-service ticket machines, located at the entrance of each platform. Before the ticket gates, a lift provides step-free access to the footbridge. Once on the platform sheltered seating areas are available, along with some additional benches nearer the station building.
Immediately outside the station is the tram stop running right through Edinburgh connecting the airport through to York Place which is just past Edinburgh Waverley.
