Four rail stations are close to Farnborough International Airshow, with three of them - Farnborough North, North Camp and Aldershot - running free shuttle buses to the show from 07:00 to 19:00 every day of the show. The fourth station, Farnborough Main, is a 25-minute walk to pedestrian entrance, Gate B. If you’re travelling from London, Waterloo to Farnborough Main is the best option, whereas passengers requiring step-free access should use the ramps on both platforms at North Camp.
One of the world’s most prestigious aerospace events, Farnborough International Airshow takes place every two years in the town that proudly ranks itself as the birthplace of British aviation. It was here that the UK’s first powered flight took place in 1908, on the very same airfield that hosts the airshow today.

About Farnborough Airshow
Farnborough Airshow took to the skies in 1948 and today welcomes 250,000-strong crowds descending upon 1,500 plus exhibitors and being amazed by the 179 aircraft displays both on the ground and in the sky. This isn’t just a show about loop-the-loops and fly-bys, however, the airshow is a huge industry as well as spectator driven event. In 2014, for instance, over £130-billion worth of aerospace and defence industry business deals were struck at the show.
The week-long event has many highlights including: the Space Zone and Innovation Zone and the recently added Farnborough Airshow Live, a TV-style interactive and informative stage show that includes commentary and interviews. But if it’s planes you’re after, you don’t get much better than five hours of flying displays featuring the phenomenal Red Arrows and other planes from the past and the future of aviation.
