The Amex Community Stadium is in Falmer, next to the campuses of Sussex University and the University of Brighton, and the Falmer railway station. Falmer station is on the East Coastway Line, with services to Brighton, Seaford, Ore and Lewes.
There are additional trains from Brighton and Lewes on matchdays, and the journey between Falmer and Brighton takes nine minutes. From Brighton, there are regular services to London Victoria, Portsmouth Harbour, Southampton Central and Gatwick Airport.
The Amex Stadium - or to give it its full title, The American Express Community Stadium - was opened in 2011 to become the new home of Brighton & Hove Albion FC. The stadium has a capacity of just over 30,000, and as well as Brighton & Hove Albion home games, it was also a venue during the 2015 Rugby World Cup including for Japan's historic victory over South Africa.
Albion are extremely popular in the local community and sell out high-profile games when they serve guest beers brewed in the visiting team's town. But it's normally possible to get tickets for most matches via the ticket office.
It is also possible to visit the stadium for a tour, which takes place on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays. The tour takes 1 hour 45 minutes and includes the West stand and trophy room, the lounges and press areas, the changing rooms and dugouts, and the Brighton & Hove Albion museum.
