Setting off from Newquay station, you’ll travel to Plymouth via Par, passing beautiful Cornish landmarks on the way. Once you’ve made the change to the CrossCountry train to Birmingham, you’ll be able to see Dartmoor National Park outside your train window.
One of the highlights of the journey is the route between Newton Abbot and Exeter: the rail tracks on this part of the journey are built so close to the sea that its waves sometimes come up to the train window – meaning you're in for some spectacular views of the coast no matter the weather.
After leaving Exeter, the train continues in the direction of Birmingham, stopping several times along the way before arriving at Bristol. You'll then travel to Birmingham via Cheltenham Spa. Along the way, you can enjoy views of the Cotswolds, one of Britain’s most popular areas of natural beauty.
