Trains to Yarm

Services and operations at the station are managed by TransPennine Express. The previous station in Yarm was closed, and this station was reopened in 1996 in a location further north than the original station. Daily services are available to stations including York and Middlesbrough. Monday to Saturday an hourly service is available towards Middlesbrough with just one stop at Thornaby.  The journey time for this route is around 15 minutes. The Sunday service for this route arrives once every two hours. York is less than 40 minutes from Yarm station the service arrives hourly from Monday through to Sunday.  

The station has two platforms that are both accessible to wheelchair users. Ramps lead down to both platforms, but please be aware both ramps have a steep gradient. Facilities at the station include a shelter and additional outdoor seating on both platforms. Help points are also located on both platforms. The station car park is free for any passengers travelling from Yarm station.
