Wolverhampton train station sits to the east of the city centre and is a major interchange for lines through to the rest of the Midlands, North Wales and the north of England. There has been a station on this site since 1852, and for a long time it was known as Wolverhampton High Level. Following a complete redevelopment during the electrification of the West Coast Mainline in the 1960s, the only Victorian building which survives is the Grade II-listed Queen's Building round the corner from the station entrance. This is where carriages would once have brought passengers into the original station, but it's now part of Wolverhampton bus station.
