Windsor & Eton Riverside train station is one of two stations within the town of Windsor. The station building itself is Grade II listed and located close to the River Thames. Attractions including the royal residence of Windsor Castle is less than a 10-minute walk away from the station. The station itself is the final station on the Windsor Line and the preceding station to Windsor & Eton Riverside is Datchet. A regular daily service is available to London Waterloo. From Monday to Sunday two trains arrive per hour en route to London Waterloo the fastest journey time for this route is 55 minutes.  

The station itself has a range of facilities for passengers travelling from Windsor & Eton Riverside. The two platforms at the station are accessible via step-free access, however, this is only available till 8 pm after this time access to the station is via three steps. Facilities at the station include ticket machines, ticket office, and toilets. There is a vending machine and coffee shop for passengers to purchase refreshments before boarding their train service.
