Trains to Willington

Willington train station first opened in 1839 after several name changes it was closed in 1968. In 1994 the station was reopened and given its original name. Sitting on the Cardiff to Nottingham Line the station sits between Burton-on-Trent and Derby. Daily services from Willington are available to stations including Derby and Birmingham New Street. From platform 2 passengers can head to Birmingham New Street there are both through services available and services that require may require a change at Derby. Seven trains arrive from Monday to Saturday direct to the town of Derby, the fastest journey time for the route is 8 minutes.  

The station has two platforms connected via a subway. Facilities at the station include a shelter and outdoor seating on both platforms. There is no step-free access available to the platforms. The closest station that offers step-free access is Burton-on-Trent. Willington station does not have any ticketing facilities available passengers wanting to travel from this station must either purchase their tickets in advance or once on board the train.
