Trains to Whimple

Whimple Railway Station serves the village of Whimple in east Devon with regular South Western Railway trains operating on the West of England Main Line. Trains from Whimple typically depart every two hours on the Main Line, running between London Waterloo in the northeast and Exeter St Davids in the southwest. At peak times, trains operate more frequently. Passengers for destinations in the west and Midlands should change at Basingstoke for Reading, and Salisbury for destinations on the Wessex Main Line. 

Whimple Station is a small halt with limited facilities, but cycle storage units and a car park are provided for passenger use. Tickets may be purchased or collected from the self-service ticket machines located near the station entrance by the waiting shelter. Help points are available throughout the station for passenger information. A waiting shelter with covered seating is provided close to the station entrance from the car park, with additional open-air seating nearby. There is step-free access throughout the station.
