Water Orton Railway Station serves the village of Water Orton in Warwickshire with regular CrossCountry services operating on the Leicester-Birmingham Line. The station is managed by West Midlands Trains, despite having no West Midlands Trains services scheduled to call there. Trains from Water Orton depart on a two-hourly basis, with Leicester and Birmingham-bound trains operating from platform 1 and Derby-bound trains from platform 2. No trains call on Sundays.

Facilities at Water Orton are minimal. There are no ticketing provisions of any sort at the station, so passengers should purchase tickets well in advance of travel or on the train from a guard. Train running information is provided via digital display screens and automated announcements. A waiting shelter with bench seating is installed at the centre of the island platform close to a customer help point.
