Trains to Uphall

The paradoxically-named Uphall Railway Station serves the village of Uphall Station in West Lothian with regular Abellio ScotRail services on the North Clyde Line. Trains from Uphall Railway Station run roughly every quarter-hour eastbound towards Edinburgh, a journey that takes about fifteen minutes; westbound trains run twice an hour to Milngavie and Helensburgh Central each via Glasgow. Morning commuter trains are particularly popular at Uphall, so passengers wishing to use the carpark at later times should be prepared to park their vehicles elsewhere before commencing travel.  

Uphall Railway Station had a notable beginning, playing a tremendous role in the oil works business surrounding the village. Today the station is most popular with commuters instead, providing quick connections to the centre of Edinburgh and direct trains to Glasgow and the west as well. Station facilities include a car park, cycle storage units, and self-service ticketing machines from which a full range of fares may be purchased. Train running information is provided via departure screens and automated announcements. Waiting rooms with seating are provided for customer use. There is step-free access via ramp throughout the station.
