Trains to Tadworth pull into a Surrey commuter town in the Epsom Downs. While the station itself isn't particularly busy, the line it sits upon can be - Tadworth is just one stop from the end of the Tattenham Corner line, which terminates right beside the famous Epsom Downs Racecourse. Outside of race days, it's a commuter line for city workers, with trains from Tadworth reaching London Bridge in around 50 minutes, and passing through the interchanges at East Croydon and Norwood Junction.
The town itself is classic suburbia: detached houses on wide, leafy streets, encircled by patches of woodland, playing fields and golf clubs. While it's a predominantly residential area, the station is beside a pleasant parade of independent local shops, including a deli, butcher and post office; you'll find a few more about five-minutes' walk south, on High Street.
