St Helier railway station lies in the London Borough of Merton in South West London. It was opened in the early 1930s and today is managed, along with the trains that pass through on the Sutton Loop Line, by Thameslink. Most of the 183,000 passengers that pass through are commuters who use their Oyster cards as the station lies in Travelcard Zone 4. The original station buildings were demolished some time ago and there is no ticket office, though there are self-service ticket machines to use prior to boarding. There are few facilities here, just a waiting shelter on the two-platform island formation, help points, and timetable posters. There are two trains an hour direct to Wimbledon Chase in 6 minutes and Sutton in 9 minutes.
When you disembark at St Helier, you’ll be surrounded by green spaces including the serene Morden Park, Sutton Common Recreation Ground, and the Thomas Wall Park.
