Trains to South Ruislip

South Ruislip railway station lies in the West London district of the same name. It was opened in the early-20th century originally as Northolt Junction. In the ’30, the name was changed to South Ruislip & Northolt Junction, before changing once again to its present name in the late ‘40s. It has four platforms which are served by the London Underground and Chiltern Railways and used by more than 2 million passengers annually. There is no ticket office, but there are self-service machines and most commuters use their Oyster cards as it the station falls within Travelcard zone 5.  The station frontage is a modern glass-fronted structure, while inside you’ll find facilities like canopy roofs, bench seating and digital passenger information screens. There’s an irregular hourly service direct to London Marylebone in 20 minutes and several services a day to High Wycombe in 26 minutes.

There are all sorts of things to do when you arrive in South Ruislip like The Old Dairy, a movie theatre showing arthouse and indie flicks. Alternatively, head to the nearby park to walk along the banks of the Yeading Brook.
