Trains to Sheerness-on-Sea

Sheerness-on-Sea railway station is used by the residents of Sheerness along the north coast of the Isle of Sheppey in Kent. It was opened in the second half of the 19^th century and briefly closed for a decade from 1914.  It might be a small two-platform station, but it’s a busy commuter stop serving the best part of half a million passengers each year. There is a ticket office open every day including Sundays and facilities including overhanding roofs providing shelters and digital displays. It’s managed, along with the trains that pass through, by Southeastern. There are two direct services an hour to Sittingbourne in 18 minutes. Here, you can change for a train direct to the capital.

When you disembark at Sheerness-on-sea, you’ll be a few moments away from a long stretch of sand and shingle beach with nearby historical attractions like Garrison Point Fort and The Criterion Blue Town, a restored music hall.
