Pevensey Bay train station serves the East Sussex village of Pevensey and the coastal village of Pevensey Bay. The station lies on the East Coastway Line 5 miles to the north east of Eastbourne. The train services from this station are provided by Southern. There are four trains a day heading west bound towards Eastbourne, a journey of 12 minutes, and five trains per day eastbound towards Hastings, with a fastest journey time of 25 minutes.
Pevensey Bay lies half a mile to the south of the station and it was this location that William the Conqueror chose to launch his invasion in 1066. The bay provided a sheltered location for his landing fleet. Pevensey Bay train station has two platforms either side of the dual running tracks, which can both be accessed via a short steep ramp. The platforms are connected by a level crossing over the lines. Local bus connections can be met on Wallsend Road, which runs past the station.
