Trains to Perranwell

Perranwell train station is part of the Maritime Line which runs from Truro to Falmouth. It is operated by Great Western Railway, which also provides all train services from the station. Trains stop here only by request; passengers wishing to board or alight should make the driver aware by standing clearly on the platform or speaking to the staff on the train. The fastest journey times from Perranwell to Truro and Falmouth Docks are 8 minutes and 18 minutes respectively.  

Originally opened in 1863, Perranwell train station was called Perran until 1864. Goods traffic used the station until 1965; the unused goods shed still stands nearby. The run-down station was partly refurbished in the 1990s, with the addition of a brick built shelter for waiting passengers. Today, there is just one platform at Perranwell. There are no ticket facilities; journeys need to be paid for in advance of travel or on the train.
