Trains to Parson Street

Parson Street train station is located in the Bedminster area of Bristol. It is 2 miles away from Bristol Temple Meads and provides train connections for the nearby areas of Bishopsworth, Ashton Gate, and Ashton Vale. Parson Street station is also the nearest station to Ashton Gate Stadium, home of Bristol City FC.  

Opened in 1927 and rebuilt in 1933, the station today is managed by Great Western Railway, which also operates all the train services which stop here. Weekday trains leave Parson Street train station once an hour in each direction; Sunday services are a lot less frequent. Direct trains from Parson Street Station travel to Bristol Temple Meads in a time of 6 minutes, and Weston-Super-Mare in 29 minutes. There are two lines and platforms at the station, both accessed by stops and a footbridge which crosses over the line. There are seats, shelters and bicycle racks for passengers use. Tickets need to be purchased in advance or on the train as there are no ticket facilities. There is a bus stop just outside the station.
