Trains to Newtonmore

A Highlands halt almost 70 miles from Perth, Newtonmore Railway Station serves the village of Newtonmore with regular Abellio ScotRail and Avanti West Coast trains running on the Highland Main Line. Trains from Newtonmore run regularly to Inverness, Glasgow, and Edinburgh; on Sundays, a high-speed southbound train runs to London Kings Cross, and the Caledonian Sleeper calls at the station en route to London Euston.  

Although once a two-platform station, today Newtonmore Station is the Highland Main Line’s only single-platform station.  The original station building is still in use as a private residence. Cycle storage and a car park are provided for customer use, and as there are no ticketing provisions at the station, passengers should purchase their tickets in advance or from a guard on board the train. A basic waiting room with seating is provided for customer use, and there is a help point that provides train running information. There is level access from the station car park to the single platform.
