Trains to Muirend

A quiet station lying in the Muirend area of Glasgow, Muirend Railway Station sees regular ScotRail services on the Neilston branch of the Cathcart Circle Lines. Trains from Muirend operate half-hourly in each direction, with Glasgow Central trains departing from platform 1 and Neilston-bound services departing from platform 2. A select number of trains extend during peak periods. Trains continue to operate on Sundays as well. Passengers for other destinations should change at Glasgow Central.  

Muirend Station maintains a ticket office in the centre of its single island platform, which is staffed part-time; for ticket purchase and collection outside of these times, customers may use the self-service ticketing machines instead. There is storage space for ten cycles at the station.  Train running information is provided on digital departure screens and through automated announcements. A waiting room with ample bench seating is installed at the centre of the island platform, and there is ramped access throughout the station.
