This new station opened on Monday 3 June and replaces Angel Road railway station which has now closed. Meridian Water is approximately 580 meters to the north of Angel Road and came about from the £6 billion regeneration project which is being overseen by Enfield Council. This modern station was designed by ARUP, Akins and architects KCA and boasts 3 operational platforms numbered 2, 3 and 4. Platform 1 has been built but currently no track has been laid as this has been built in mind to Crossrail 2.
Meridian Water is on the Lea Valley Line and provides commuters with direct access south towards Stratford and London Liverpool Street. To the north, the station connects to Stansted and Cambridge
