Trains to Levenshulme

Levenshulme railway station serves the Levenshulme area of Manchester and bordering regions, with Northern trains operating on four of Northern’s Manchester-based lines. Five trains from Levenshulme depart hourly, with one each from Alderley Edge, Chester, Crewe, Hazel Grove, and Stoke-on-Trent, towards Manchester Piccadilly in the north. One Manchester-bound service continues to Blackpool North. Southbound trains from Levenshulme run through Stockport towards the aforementioned stations, plus peak services to Chinley. During evenings and on Sundays, two trains depart hourly for Manchester and one per hour to Buxton, Alderley Edge, and Crewe.

The ticket office at Levenshulme Station is staffed from early morning until mid-evening, and there are self-service ticket machines for additional ticket purchase and collection outside of staffed hours. Both platforms have basic waiting shelters with seating, but facilities are otherwise very basic. Both platforms are accessed via stairs. As a result, Levenshulme Station is not suitable for passengers requiring step-free access.
