Trains to Kingsknowe

Kingsknowe Railway Station serves the Kingsknowe area of Edinburgh with regular ScotRail service on the Shotts Line between Glasgow and Edinburgh. One train from Kingsknowe departs every hour between Glasgow Central to Edinburgh Waverly. Two trains from Edinburgh terminate at Motherwell, and an additional train runs between Glasgow and North Berwick. Trains for Edinburgh depart from platform 2; trains for Glasgow depart from platform 1. On Sundays, a two-hourly service operates to Edinburgh and through to Glasgow.  

Kingsknowe’s two platforms are fully outfitted with CCTV monitoring and have completely step-free interchange via a level crossing. Facilities at the station include space for ten bicycles. Customer help points are present throughout the station. Digital display screens provide train running information, along with automated announcements on the station PA system. Waiting shelters with help points and bench seating are installed on both platforms. There is step-free access via ramp to both platforms.
