Trains to Ivybridge

Ivybridge train station sits on the Exeter to Plymouth line, it precedes Plymouth and follows Totnes. The original Ivybridge station was first built in 1848 but later closed in 1965. The station you now see today was opened in 1994. Services and operations at the station are managed by Great Western Railway, who offer daily trains to stations including London Paddington and the local city of Plymouth. The quickest journey time to Plymouth is approximately 13 minutes, this service is available daily but slightly reduced during Sundays. To get to London Paddington, there are both through services available as well as services that require a change at Newton Abbot. The journey time is usually under 4 hours.

Ivybridge station offers step-free access to both platforms. A ramp is available on to platform 1 and then down from the bridge onto platform 2. Facilities at the station for passengers include shelters on both platforms, additional outdoor seating and a help point. There are no ticketing facilities at this station, any passengers that travel from Ivybridge will need to either purchase a ticket before travel or whilst on board the train.
