Croftfoot railway station sits towards the south of Glasgow in Scotland on the border with South Lanarkshire. It serves the communities of Croftfoot, Spittal and Rutherglen. The station is accessed through an underground walkway and steps up to both platforms which sits alongside the Newton Branch of the Cathcart Circle Line. Both the station and the trains that pass through are run and maintained by Abellio ScotRail. There are few facilities at the unstaffed station with little more than station lighting and timetable posters. That said, it’s a busy station with commuters catching the train into central Glasgow every morning. During peak hours, there are at least two direct trains an hour to Glasgow Central taking just 18 minutes.
When you disembark at Croftfoot, you’ll be within walking distance of several parks, most notably Kings Park, and several beautiful churches including King's Park Parish Church and Croftfoot Parish Church.
