Trains to Chalkwell

Chalkwell railway station opened in 1933 and one of the first stations to open on the London to Southend line. Located between Leigh-on-Sea and Westcliff, Chalkwell is a popular commuter station with c2c trains to London Fenchurch Street taking less than an hour. 

Chalkwell station is right on the beach, popular with locals and day-trippers alike looking for a quick dip, a spot of crabbing or just lounging on the sand. There are several Fish & Chip outlets, ice cream stalls and stores selling buckets and spades along the seafront for all your beach essentials.

Chalkwell Park is also just a 10-minute walk from the station should you want to seek some shade under the trees. The park also has some beautiful rose and flower beds, playgrounds, a skateboard park and dedicated areas for sports including football, tennis and cricket.
