Seven miles from Aberystwyth, Borth train station serves the village of Borth with regular service along the Cambrian Line. First opened in 1863, the station sees regular but sparse service; trains from Borth departing every two hours in each direction, Monday through Saturday, and at the same frequency but later in the day on Sundays. Westbound trains run to Aberystwyth; eastbound trains may run to Machynlleth, Shrewsbury, or Birmingham International.
First opened in 1863, Borth station’s original building still stands today and is Grade II listed. It's largely in private residential use with the exception of a single room, which passengers may use as a waiting area to this day. The former booking office is currently a museum with displays on a variety of features relevant to the station’s history.
