Trains to Blackwater

A borders station straddling Hampshire, Surrey, and Berkshire all at once, Blackwater Railway Station provides its trifecta of regions with regular Great Western Railway service along the North Downs Line from Reading to Redhill and Gatwick Airport. Blackwater Station’s two platforms see bidirectional service; platform 1 sees eastbound trains from Blackwater to Gatwick Airport, while platform 2 sees westbound trains towards Reading. Two trains operate each hour, one express and one stopping. Additional trains may operate at peak periods. On Sundays, an extra hourly service operates between Reading and Gatwick Airport.

Blackwater Station is unstaffed, and emergency telephones are provided on both platforms, along with shelters and seating. Cycle storage is available off platform 1, and a council-managed car park is located nearby. Tickets may be purchased or collected from self-service ticket machines at the station. Level access is available to both platforms, but platform interchange is possible only through a highway route.
