Trains to Blackpool South

Only a short distance from the popular seaside resort, Blackpool South Railway Station serves the southern suburbs of Blackpool with Northern service along the South Fylde Line, for which it is the terminus. Trains from Blackpool South most often depart on an hourly basis to Colne via Lytham, Preston, Blackburn, and Burnley throughout the week. Sunday services to these stations operate on similar frequencies from March until early November only. The unconnected Blackpool North station is approximately two miles away at the other end of the town; more frequent express services depart from Blackpool North.

Blackpool South Station is unstaffed and has only basic amenities available for customer use. The single platform is outfitted with a waiting shelter, bench seating, timetable posters, departure and arrival displays, and a payphone located on street level. Step-free access is available via a ramp from both Waterloo Road and the carpark parallel with the station.
