Like Bere Alston, its sister-station a stop away, Bere Ferrers train station serves the village of Bere Ferrers in Devon via the Tamar Valley Line. Nestled in an area with notoriously poor roads, Bere Ferrers station is operated by Great Western Railway, who also provide the trains calling at this station. Northbound trains continue through the Tamar Valley Area of Natural Beauty to Gunnislake, whilst southbound trains proceed towards Plymouth. Typically, nine trains to and from Bere Ferrers in each direction use the station on weekdays, eight trains on Saturdays, and five on Sundays.

The former station building and signal box are now in private use as a museum and tourist attraction.
