Trains to Bentham

Bentham train station serves the town of High Bentham via the Leeds to Morecambe Line. Located 19 miles east of Lancaster, the station is operated by Northern, who also provide all train services to Bentham. Five services run in each direction during weekdays, including Saturdays. Westbound trains from Bentham operate to Wennington, Carnforth, Lancaster, and Morecambe; eastbound trains run to Clapham, Giggleswick, Skipton, and Leeds. On Sundays, four trains operate in each direction. Passengers for Bradford should alight at Shipley for a connecting service.

Bentham station is unstaffed and doesn't have self-service ticket machines available for customer use. Tickets should be purchased ahead of time or on the train. Ramps for train access and waiting shelters are available from both platforms, and a payphone is accessible from the shelter on platform 1. Neither platform is accessible step-free. Passengers requiring additional facilities are advised to use Settle station, approximately twelve miles away.
