Situated directly on Main Street, Bellshill Railway Station serves the town of Bellshill in North Lanarkshire with frequent daily service along the Argyle and Shotts Lines. A historic station, Bellshill was first opened by the Caledonian Railway in 1879, and remained in regular service throughout its history. Today, Monday to Saturday services run two trains from Bellshill per hour to Edinburgh Waverly via Shotts, two trains per hour to Lanark via Motherwell, and four trains per hour to Glasgow Central. Additional peak trains serve Anderston via Glasgow Central and Carstairs, along with infrequent service on the North Berwick Line. Sundays, one train per hour departs for Lanark via Motherwell and Motherwell each, along with one train every two hours for Edinburgh Waverly and two trains every hour for Glasgow Central.

Bellshill Station facilities include bicycle stands, a station carpark, a staffed ticket office during daytime hours, ticket machines, waiting rooms and seating on both platforms. There's no unassisted wheelchair access at this station.
