Trains to Bedford St Johns

One of two stations serving Bedford on the Marston Vale Line, Bedford St Johns train station is a one-platform halt operated by London Northwestern Railway. Originally Bedford’s first station along the Oxford to Cambridge Line, Bedford St Johns was diminished in capacity following that line’s closure. The original one-platform station was replaced by the present station, located in the former station’s previous freight yard. Today the modern Bedford St Johns station primarily sees trains to Bletchley. London Midland local services call roughly once an hour, westbound to Bletchley and eastbound to Bedford Midland. On Sundays, trains do not call at Bedford St Johns.

A small station, Bedford St Johns has minimal facilities, including help points, payphones and step-free access coverage via ramp to all trains. The platform can be accessed by a long ramp from the footpath or stairs. A covered shelter and seating area are available on the platform, and the station has a carpark of 120 spaces available for passenger use.
