Trains to Alvechurch

Situated only a handful of miles from the bustle of Birmingham New Street, Alvechurch Railway Station serves Alvechurch village in North Worcestershire via the Cross-City Line. When it was first opened in 1859, Alvechurch station had one platform serving the single-track Gloucester Loop line. In 2014, Network Rail upgraded the station with a second platform and passing loop, allowing trains to Alvechurch to call more frequently. Today, the station is now served every 20 minutes by southbound trains from Alvechurch toward Redditch Monday through Saturday, and every half hour on Sundays. Northbound trains call Monday through Saturday every twenty minutes, with each train serving one of three destinations (Four Oaks, Lichfield City, and Lichfield Trent Valley).

Alvechurch Station is open 24 hours daily and has a carpark on site. Tickets may be purchased from self-service ticket machines, and assistance is available from customer help points throughout the station. Rail replacement coaches towards Birmingham and Redditch pick up and drop off at the public service bus stops on Red Lion Street, a short walk from the station.
