A new class of criminal deserves a new set of filming locations.
Though Netflix’s The Gentlemen is considered a continuation of the London drug lord world initially established in the 2019 movie The Gentlemen, only a few of the original filming locations were recycled.
Unless you’re driving around England with the traveler family’s caravan, we suggest finding these filming locations for Netflix’s The Gentlemen by train.

Where was The Gentleman filmed?
Badminton House | Badminton, Gloucestershire
Closest station: Yate
So much of the show takes place in Halstead Manor that you would immediately recognize the Badminton Estate as Eddie and Freddie’s home. Badminton House is the current home of the real 12th Duke of Beaufort — but considering how receptive he was to bringing in a film crew, we assume his estate doesn’t have a hidden grow house.
Loseley Park | Guildford, Surrey
Closest station: Guildford
Around 100 miles west of Badminton House, you’ll find a Tudor home called Loseley Park that provided a few interior shots for Halstead Manor, as well as Geoff’s cottage. You might recognize it from The Gentlemen (2019) film, also written and directed by Guy Ritchie.
Stoke Court | Buckinghamshire
Closest station: Slough
Another stand-in for interior scenes at Halstead Manor, Stoke Court welcomed the production team of The Gentlemen. Should you owe someone a debt that’s payable by a chicken dance, Stoke Court is the place to film it. Its exterior is also featured in the season finale.
Oddly enough, this Buckinghamshire property is located near Pinewood Studios — a filming location for countless films and series including Casino Royale, You, Luther: The Fallen Sun, and A Haunting in Venice — but the crew used Alperton Studios in Wembley for their soundstage needs.
Wrotham Park | Hertfordshire
Closest station: High Barnet (Underground) | Potters Bar
Stanley Johnston isn’t without his own dazzling estate; Wrotham Park plays the part of the Bridgewater House. Like the Badminton Estate, Wrotham Park has also featured in other shows like The Crown and Bridgerton. Oh, what we would give for a crossover event where Cressida Cowper and Susie Glass cross paths…

The Reform Club | Pall Mall, London
Closest station: Charing Cross
Pinky’s Club, where Stanley Johnston and Eddie meet, is just as skanky and exclusive in other scenes of fiction and real life. The Reform Club was featured in Paddington 2 and Die Another Day. This member’s only club has welcomed the likes of H.G. Wells, Winston Churchill, and J.M. Barrie.
Knebworth House
Closest station: Knebworth
Knebworth House was one of the estates that Susie hoped would expand the empire (and that Eddie hoped would get him out of the business). The good news is that this property is open to the public for tours and events. The better news is that no naked duke will chase you out of the estate with a gun. The best news? Absolutely zero chance of finding that “relic” from a certain tyrant in the basement.
🚂 Trainline Trivia: Brocket Hall’s golf course was also used as a filming location for The Gentlemen. It’s located between Knebworth and Welwyn Garden City, which was the main filming location for the movie The World’s End (which also had a “blink and you’ll miss it” cameo by Peter Serafinowicz).
Billingsgate Market | Canary Wharf, London
Closest station: Canary Wharf | Blackwall
Canary Wharf’s Billingsgate Market sets a scene in The Gentlemen — but it’s not the only riverside filming location in the show. Across the Thames is the Greenland Surrey Quays Pier, where Jethro boards his boat en route to a new life. Farther east, the London International Cruise Terminal in Tilbury saved production a few pounds by doubling as Belgium’s Port of Zeebrugge.
Warehouse | Stratford, London
Closest station: Pudding Mill Lane
As nondescript as “warehouse” is, this old industrial space was a perfect setting for Mercy’s Motor. You won’t find a green Lambo there, but you will find the ABBA Arena, home to the ABBA Voyage Experience.

St Paul’s Church | Southwark, London
Closest station: Kennington
Gospel John may follow the gospel of Bobby Glass in episode two of The Gentlemen, but in real life, St. Paul’s Church in Lorrimore Square follows the good book.
Printworks London | Rotherhithe, London
Closest station: Canada Water
If you’re looking for Sticky Pete, you’ll find him down at Printworks London (which has been officially closed since May 2023 due to redevelopment plans in the area). This venue provided the setting for the boxing match early in the season.
Magazine London
Closest station: North Greenwich
Later in the season, Magazine London gets the nod for Jack Glass’s big-time boxing match.

Is The Gentlemen a spin-off?
Yes and no: technically, Netflix’s The Gentlemen is an official sequel to The Gentlemen (2019) starring Matthew McConaughey and Hugh Grant. Interestingly enough, despite allegedly sharing the same universe as The Gentlemen (2019), Netflix’s The Gentlemen does not reference the characters or events of the film.
What else has been filmed at Badminton House?
The Badminton House has quite a few films and TV shows on its CV, with Bridgerton, 28 Days Later, The Pursuit of Love and Pearl Harbour joining The Gentlemen. The Badminton Estate has a long history, with Roman villa ruins found on the property and its name, then called “Madmintune”, recorded in the Doomsday Book completed in 1086.
What pub was The Gentleman filmed in?
That depends on if you’re talking about the gorgeous pub heavily featured in The Gentlemen (2019) or the pub that makes an appearance in Netflix’s The Gentlemen. The former was The Princess Victoria, a London pub (closest station: Shepherd’s Bush). The latter, in which we find the cleaner Felix a little sideways, was the Sekforde in Clerkenwell (closest station: Farringdon).
Where is The Gentlemen supposed to take place?
Based on how accessible London is from the Horniman estate, we surmise that The Gentlemen is supposed to take place largely in the outskirts of the English capital. That’s no far leap, either.
Is The Gentlemen series better than the 2019 movie?
Comparing Netflix’s series The Gentlemen to the 2019 film is tough — and that’s not us just being passive. Both are fun and both deliver the Guy Ritchie double tap of dark comedy and gangster drama. The Rotten Tomatoes scores are almost identical: The Gentlemen (Netflix) has a Tomatometer of 74% and an average audience score of 87%. The Gentlemen (2019) has a Tomatometer of 75% and an average audience score of 84%. Using those metrics, critics think the movie is Certified Fresh and the average Joe at home thinks the series is a tad bit better.

Who stars in The Gentlemen Netflix series?
Netflix’s The Gentlemen stars Theo James (White Lotus) as the heir of his family’s estate which, unbeknownst to him and his brother, Freddy (Daniel Ings, Sex Education; The Crown), includes a very lucrative marijuana grow house. Kaya Scodelario’s Susie Glass (Skins), daughter of incarcerated kingpin Bobby Glass (Ray Winstone), drags James deeper into the criminal underworld as he tries to get out. Joely Richardson (One Day), Vinnie Jones, Michael Vu, and Giancarlo Esposito are also co-stars.
Is Brad Pitt in The Gentleman TV series?
No, Brad Pitt does not feature in The Gentlemen TV series on Netflix. None of the characters from The Gentlemen movie are in the series and Vinnie Jones is the only actor who has appeared in other Guy Ritchie films: Snatch (which featured Brad Pitt) and Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels.
Is The Gentleman 2 coming out?
Thus far, there are no plans for The Gentlemen 2, be it a film or continuation of the Netflix series. Technically, Netflix’s The Gentlemen is a sequel to the movie The Gentlemen; though you wouldn’t know it by watching the two back-to-back. As for The Gentlemen Season 2, Netflix has yet to formally renew this hit show, but there’s certainly room for more stories from the Horniman home.
