“In this world, it’s just us” – and Harry Styles.

“You know it’s not the same as it was” since the first time we heard Styles sing with One Direction, but much of his hometown remains as it was when he lived there. “We’ve been doin’ all this late night talkin’” about visiting his former home and have all the info you need to do the same.

Is Harry Styles from Redditch or Holmes Chapel?

Technically, Harry Styles was born in Redditch, but if you add up the years he spent as a youth in both places, he’s definitely from Holmes Chapel. Fans consider Holmes Chapel his hometown so much that there’s a Harry Styles Holmes Chapel Tour.

Did Harry Styles live in Holmes Chapel?

Yes, Harry Styles hails from and spent a great deal of his childhood living in Holmes Chapel. It’s quite a small village with a population of around 6,700 people, which would be considered a very intimate audience for a Styles concert.

Where is Holmes Chapel?

Holmes Chapel is in Cheshire, England, less than an hour south of Manchester. If you were to start from Manchester, you could take a Northern Rail train from Manchester Piccadilly to Holmes Chapel in as little as 33 minutes. From London, hop on an Avanti West Coast, LNER, or East Midlands Railway train at London Euston station, then make a quick transfer to a Northern Rail train in Crewe, with the quickest journey taking you around 2 hours.

What street did Harry Styles live on?

Word on the street is that Harry Styles lived at 92 London Road in Holmes Chapel. It’s a quaint cottage next to a Chinese restaurant. If we could snag a song title from his Fine Line album: “Treat People with Kindness.” Holmes Chapel is a small village that’s getting loads of tourists wanting to walk in the footsteps of the young star. Don’t go peeping in windows or knocking on doors out of respect to the new, non-related owners.

What is the Harry Styles Holmes Chapel Tour?

The Harry Styles Holmes Chapel Tour is an official guided walking tour organized by the Holmes Chapel Partnership. It’s a three-hour tour led by superfans that visits sites related to Styles’ childhood, such as the bakery he first worked at and the place he had his first kiss.

The Holmes Chapel Partnership is a not-for-profit company that also developed the Safe Walking Routes project, highlighting pedestrian safety in Holmes Chapel due to the limited pedestrian pathways. If you’re visiting Holmes Chapel, check out Safe Walking Routes so you can plan a trek that doesn’t put your toes alongside traffic.

Where to go in Holmes Chapel for Harry Styles fans

Harry Styles fans can take the official walking tour or explore on their own. The three major sites to visit include the Fortune City Chinese Restaurant on London Road (south of Holmes Chapel station) next door to the house Styles grew up in, W Mandeville bakery (north of the train station) where a pre-fame Styles worked, and Twemlow Viaduct, aka Harry’s Wall, where Styles had his first kiss. If you follow the train tracks northeast, you’ll find it with ease.

Where is the Harry Styles wall in Holmes Chapel?

To reach Harry’s Wall and bridge (unofficially named after the singer) in Holmes Chapel by train, head to the Holmes Chapel train station, accessible from London, Manchester, Liverpool, and other major English cities.

By car, follow Manor Lane from the station to Twemlow Viaduct. Walking is also an option, but we recommend taking the guided Harry Styles Holmes Chapel Tour to reach Twemlow Viaduct (where both the wall and bridge can be found). The guides know the safest routes and they’ll also tell you stories and fun bits of trivia about these fan-named locations.

What else is Holmes Chapel famous for?

Holmes Chapel is renowned as Harry Styles’ childhood home and almost certainly will be for the foreseeable future. Like many of the English villages across the country, it had charm long before the singer sent teenage girls swooning. Though the Twemlow Viaduct is now affectionally called Harry’s Wall, it made the papers for its grand design back in the 1840s. With the River Dane cutting through the village, Holmes Chapel is also a great place for trail walking.

Does Harry Styles visit Holmes Chapel?

From the looks of it, it’s been a minute since Harry Styles visited his former stomping grounds in Holmes Chapel – not that we’re stalking his Instagram or anything…

But, let’s be real, if you were an international pop star whose hometown was now hosting guided tours that essentially retraced the steps of your teenage years, would you pop in for a “hello” every weekend? We don’t expect Harry Styles to pay many visits to Holmes Chapel (at least, not publicly).

Where has Harry Styles bought a house?

Harry Styles has bought houses, as the rich and famous are known to do. He purchased a multi-million-dollar home in London at age 18. He scooped up a pad in Los Angeles in 2016 when One Direction took its pause. Then there was the penthouse in New York City in 2017. A second North London house. And, finally (to date), a third North London house.

And, fittingly, we’re sure the success of Harry’s House will help him add a few more house keys to his key ring.

Where does Harry Styles live now?

You mean besides in the hearts and minds of all his adoring fans? We reckon he spends a fair share of time in his Hampstead Heath house. Well, technically, his two or three Hampstead Heath houses that are across the street from each other.

Which celebrities live in Hampstead Heath?

Harry Styles is far from the only celebrity to call Hampstead home. Harry Potter fans might spot Bellatrix Lestrange herself, Helena Bonham Carter. Fellow singer Liam Gallagher of Oasis also lives in Hampstead Heath, and Elizabeth Taylor was also a famous resident of the North London area.
