Jump on the bus (or better yet, a guided tour) for a close-up view of one of the world’s most famous active volcanoes. Pro tip: wear good shoes.   • Ercolano Scavi: This is the station you want if you’re visiting the Herculaneum ruins. It’s much closer to the archaeological site — just a 5-10 minute walk.
