Taking your bike on Grand Central Railway trains

Planning a day out on your bike? Or cycling as part of your commute to work? You’re in luck. Taking bikes on trains in the UK is completely free.

Grand Central Railway recommends that you make a reservation for your full-sized bike wherever you’re given the option. Their Adelante trains have 3 bike spaces:

  • 2 spaces can be reserved
  • 1 is available on a first-come, first-served basis

If you’re taking a fold-up bike on board there’s no need for a reservation, but you must be able to carry the bike and fit it in the luggage rack on the train.
