Frecciarossa Standard Class features
Frecciarossa Standard Class (or Livello Standard in Italian) has the same seat layout of Premium Class – 2x2 rows – but offers cloth rather than leather seats. Armchairs are wide and reclining and all come with a folding table and power sockets.
Free WiFi is available on board – simply connect your device to the FRECCIAPlay portal, and you can watch movies and TV programmes, listen to music and check travel information.
If you wish to work undisturbed or simply relax, choose the new quiet car in Standard Class – you'll get to enjoy complimentary earphones, a double welcome drink service, an onboard library and a sleeping mask.
Frecciarossa Standard vs Business, Premium and Executive

Food on Frecciarossa Standard trains
Want to try tasty Italian gourmet meals while traveling around Italy by train? In Frecciarossa Standard class, you can choose from two options: FRECCIABistrò and Easy Bistrò.
FRECCIABistrò
During the trip the bar is always open, and passengers can purchase products and full menus designed for every moment of the day: sweet and savoury snacks, sandwiches, pizza, hot and cold meals, salads and other vegetarian or Gluten Free options. Passengers can also buy non-alcoholic drinks, wine, cocktails, beers, and Illy espresso coffee
Easy Bistrò
Passengers can choose between sweet and savory snacks, sandwiches, hot and cold meals, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Full menus and products can be purchased directly from Trenitalia staff walking around the train, or it can be ordered from the FRECCIAPlay portal to have them delivered at the seat in the preferred time slot.
How to buy a Standard class ticket
To buy a Frecciarossa Standard ticket, choose your departure station, arrival station and travel date in our Journey Planner above.
